GBP has announced the launch of its latest innovation in solar technology: the GBP355T-88N, an ultra-lightweight solar panel engineered specifically for structures with weight restrictions.

Unlocking solar potential for older buildings previously deemed unsuitable
Weighing just 9.3 kg (approximately 5.6kg/m²), the new panel is roughly half the weight of standard modules. This dramatic reduction in mass allows for installation on low-load roofs—such as those found on factories, warehouses, and older buildings—that previously could not support conventional solar systems without expensive structural upgrades. Despite its slim profile, the panel boasts an impressive 21.3% conversion efficiency, thanks to its advanced N-type TOPCon half-cell technology. This ensures that even with a lighter footprint, energy output remains high.

Engineered for durability and cost savings
The GBP355T-88N features reinforced 1.6mm tempered glass, providing the rigidity needed to withstand environmental stress and prevent warping over time. By eliminating the need for roof reinforcement in most cases, the panel significantly reduces both upfront costs and project timelines.
